Guido Derks appointed as Einstein Telescope manager

The Dutch Province of Limburg will appoint Guido Derks as manager for the Einstein Telescope as of 1 June. In this way the Province strengthens the organisation of the project, which has entered a more intensive phase since the granting of 900 million euros from the National Growth Fund. Guido Derks is currently general director of the Province and already involved in the Einstein Telescope as the official commissioning authority. In his new position, he will focus on meeting the conditions of the National Growth Fund, and on filling in the regional conditions that are needed for a strong candidacy.
