“It could have been a setting from a science fiction film, but it really is Maastricht University’s new research lab,”. This is how the video report about ETpathfinder begins that was broadcast on 1Limburg last weekend.
ETpathfinder is an R&D laboratory under construction. Here, scientists, engineers and companies will work together on new and better technologies for gravitational wave detectors, such as the Einstein Telescope. The lab is located in Maastricht and Nikhef is closely involved in every step of the development.
The report uses animations by Marco Kraan and Stefan Hild and Paul Kuijer are both interviewd.
