ETpathfinder construction work in full swing

Meanwhile in Maastricht, the construction work for R&D-lab ETpathfinder continues. These pictures show the hall that will contain the cleanroom with the interferometer inside. Construction workers have taken out the floor, and are drilling pile drivers into the soil. A stable floor is necessary to create a stable environment and minimize vibrations.

The hall at Duboisdomein 30 in Maastricht once belonged to Dagblad de Limburger and measures around 800 square metres. The cleanroom will be ready in 2021 and the laboratory will be fully operational in 2022.
